Members of the BYU chapter of Eta Kappa Nu recently volunteered their time and expertise to participate in the BYU College of Engineering’s Engineering Expo, held on February 20, 2020. Members manned a booth with several demonstrations, some provided by the BYU Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and others by members of HKN. Other members had the opportunity to lead smaller groups of students on tours of BYU’s engineering facilities and research laboratories.

The Engineering Expo, hosted annually, invites hundreds of middle school students from surrounding school districts in the Utah valley to come to BYU’s campus and learn about engineering and is one of the many ways student organizations at BYU have the opportunity to participate in outreach and encourage STEM at a community level.
