Encouraging Student and Faculty Communication

The Zeta Eta Chapter of IEEE-HKN held its first event of a new initiative on Thursday, February 27, 2020. The event, titled in long-form as “Student/Faculty Brown Bag Lunches,” invited three professors to each join a separate group of about 4-6 students to give professional advice on topics such as industry and graduate school

HKN Encourages STEM Among Middle School Students

Members of the BYU chapter of Eta Kappa Nu recently volunteered their time and expertise to participate in the BYU College of Engineering’s Engineering Expo, held on February 20, 2020. Members manned a booth with several demonstrations, some provided by the BYU Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and others by members of HKN. Other members had the opportunity to lead smaller groups of students on tours of BYU’s engineering facilities and research laboratories.

Fall 2019 Candidates Inducted

Eight students joined the ranks of IEEE-HKN at the biannual induction ceremony of the Zeta Eta Chapter held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Brigham Young University Engineering Building. Attendees of the dinner included current members who welcomed and networked with the new members.
